Ana Novik, as Head of the Investment Division of the Directorate for Financial and Enterprise Affairs, she works with governments on improving the international investment climate, promoting good domestic practices to support private investment, particularly international. She establishes strategies for the OECD to secure a leadership role in the international investment debate and to advance a more structured economic analysis of investment flows and impact. Prior to joining the OECD, Ms. Novik was the Ambassador Director of Multilateral Economic Affairs in the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She represented Chile in international organisations: WTO, OECD and APEC. She also headed and supervised negotiations on behalf of Chile in the investment and services areas, with China, Australia, TPP, Pacific Alliance and MERCOSUR, among others, and participated in Chile’s accession to OECD, particularly in the areas of investment and trade. In 2012, she acted as the country’s G20 Sherpa when Chile was invited to the G20.
